Norris Lake cleanup day

The Annual Five County Norris Lake Clean-Up is March 25 in Anderson, Claiborne, & Union Counties and on April 1st in Campbell County. There will be various meeting sites, so please check the website at http://www.norrislakeproject.com/upcoming-cleanups/ to find one closest to you.  Be sure to look at all the information and if you want to save time, feel free to fill out the registration form and bring it with you.

The 2016 Shoe Collection drive was a resounding success!

Pat Imperato lead an enthusiastic team to collect over 200 bags of shoes. They will go to Third World countries and provide money for KACB programs.

Sign up for the Clinch River cleanup

Your help is needed with the third annual Big Clinch River Cleanup, starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, with a breakfast and briefing for all registered volunteers at the Museum of Appalachia, 2819 Andersonville Highway, Norris. The cleanup will wrap up about 2 p.m.

Everyone who enjoys the river, from anglers to kayakers to wildlife watchers, is invited to help remove litter from the Clinch and its banks. Volunteers will work in teams of walkers, waders, paddlers and powerboaters.

2015 Shoe recycling campaign 3/24—4/30/15

This campaign not only confirms our commitment to promoting environmental stewardship; it will also allow us to demonstrate good will towards others.  The shoes will be refurbished and disinfected then sent to local school students in need of shoes and to under-developed countries where the shoes will be welcomed.

KACB at Norris Day

Keep Anderson County Beautiful had a very successful booth this July 4, 2014 at Norris Day in Norris Tennessee!   We promoted the Anti-Litter Message of KACB and our "Butts Wanted" Program to educate the citizens of Anderson County that cigarette butts are litter!   Butts may be small, but the litter from butts is a major litter issue across the nation!  Please Dispose of Cigarette Butts Properly.
